Disability activist blasts Hollywood film
A new film has drawn criticism from disability rights campaigners, who say it depicts disability as nothing more than a burden and tragedy.
In Warner Brothers "Me Before You", Sam Claflin plays a quadriplegic man whose disability is the result of an accident.
**SPOILER ALERT**
Claflin's character decides to end his life, despite finding love with Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke's character, Louisa.
Writer Emily Ladau told 5 live's Dotun Adebayo she'd like to see "the media flooded with more positive depictions" of disabled people.
She says she simply wants newly disabled people "to know it's not so bad on the other side".
