Looking after Zanzibar's elderly
The East African islands of Zanzibar have just introduced a universal pension scheme for the over 70s. This is the first fully state funded programme in the region. Campaigners say it will lead to a huge improvement in the lives of a section of the population widely regarded as the poorest in society. The 麻豆社's Sammy Awami reports.
