Storms and torrential rains have been battering Australia's east coast. Hundreds of residents have had to leave their homes. In Sydney, beach front houses have been partly washed away by an unusually high tide and big waves. Dr Mitchell Harley --from the University of New South Wales-- spoke to 麻豆社 Newsday.
