Why Omar Mateen attacked the Pulse club is not altogether clear - there's evidence he hated homosexuals, it's also known he had mental issues and a history of violence to his wife, and he subscribed to the views of the so-called Islamic State. There's a new theory doing the rounds in Orlando - Paul Brinkmann from the local newspaper, the Orlando Sentinel, has been speaking to people in town.
