Baroness Kinnock has said she hopes people will realise that politicians like the murdered Labour MP Jo Cox "deserve to be cherished".

Glenys Kinnock told presenter Mark Mardell it was important to recognise the good work that many politicians did.

She described Jo Cox, who worked for her when she was an MEP, as "highly intelligent, jolly and brave" and said she would miss her "so, so much".
