Northern Ireland striker calls fan, 10, after online video
The father of a ten-year-old Northern Ireland fan says his son's extreme reaction receiving tickets to their Ukraine game in the Euros prompted striker Kyle Lafferty to get in touch.
In the video, Zak McGall screams and bursts into tears before hugging his dad, Richard (pictured in the video, above).
Richard told 麻豆社 Radio 5 live that he 鈥渃ouldn鈥檛 believe what was happening鈥 when Kyle got in touch with him via Facebook, wanting to wish Zak a happy birthday.
鈥淚t was a lovely message [from Kyle] just to tell us how much the clip had affected him emotionally and the team and how the team are out there playing for the fans and fans like Zak,鈥 Richard said.
Zak added that it was a 鈥渢en out of ten鈥 birthday surprise.
