In the past few days, there has been anecdotal evidence of a rise in xenophobic and racist abuse following the victory of the leave campaign.
Cardinal Vincent Nichols spoke to Ritula Shah about why these racist incidents may have occurred since the UK voted to leave the European Union and encourages the immigrant community not to lose their nerve.
