2016 Caine prize short list: Tope Folarin
The winner of the Caine prize for African writing will be announced today. Today's offering is entitled 'Genesis,' and the writer Tope Folarin - won the Caine prize in 2014.
'Genesis,' is about a young Nigerian couple who settle in America full of hopes and dreams and they have two sons. The story is narrated by the older one, who describes his mother's deterioration into mental illness, and violence.
