Wales fan still singing on 6000 mile trip home
Wales fans were still singing “please don’t take me home” as their historic 2016 run came to an end said ex-pat Leisha Vaughan–Humphreys.
Currently living in Toronto, Ms Vaughan-Humphreys made the 6000 mile round trip home to Wales to watch the match in the fanzone in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Speaking to 5 live’s Phil Williams, she described herself as a “band wagoner” but said getting to the Euro 2016 semi-finals “transcends sport” and has “brought the whole nation together”.
When asked what she most missed about Wales Ms Vaughan-Humphreys said “straight talking Welsh humour and curry half and half”.
