'The US pushed us into war too early'
The US pushed the UK into the Iraq war "too early", said former British ambassador to the United Nations, Sir Jeremy Greenstock.
Sir Jeremy was British ambassador to the United Nations from 1998 to 2003, and then the UK's Special Representative for Iraq from 2003-2004.
He said it would have been "much safer" to give the weapons inspectors in Iraq another six months to continue their work, before invading.
