Syrian migrant in new film Exodus: 'We packed our lives in our rucksacks and then lost them at sea.'
In 2015, a production crew gave camera phones to migrants fleeing their home countries and undertaking often treacherous journeys to Europe. It meant the migrants could film where crews had no access. Syrian teacher Hassan Akkad recorded his perilous boat trip between Turkey and Greece. His film forms part of a new documentary series entitled Exodus created by Keo Films which screens on 麻豆社 2 this week (Mon-Wed 9pm). He talks to Lucy Grey on periscope
