FGM is child abuse, says head of UN Population Fund
The head of the United Nations Population Fund, Babatunde Osotimehin, has described female genital mutilation as child abuse. It's the first time that someone from the UN has used that description - normally referring to the practice as a human rights violation. In an interview with the 麻豆社, Mr Osotimehin said the custom should stop.
