Malawi's president cracks down on 'sexual cleansing'
Malawian President Peter Mutharika has taken strong action following a 麻豆社 interview in which a rural man confessed that he'd had sex with scores of women and young girls, as part of a traditional ritual cleansing ceremony.
The president ordered the man arrested. But the story throws light on a traditional practice with strong roots in some rural areas of Malawi. It is all the more problematic because the country has a high rate of HIV.
