A four foot Great Dane from South Wales is in the running to be classed as the world鈥檚 tallest dog.

The dog called Major is hoping to win the gong next month, from Guinness World Records.

Owner Julie Williams who lives with the huge hound told 5 live鈥檚 Peter Allen that the 12 stone dog can eat up to two kilograms of meat a day.

鈥淗e goes through half a dozen eggs in the morning and can eat two kilograms of meat in the evening.鈥�
