Documenting the history of American beer
The Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC has put out an advert for a beer historian to join its staff. Unsurprisingly they have been inundated with applicants for the $65,000 a year post. So what exactly is a beer historian and why is the position needed? Newsday's Alan Kasujja and Lebo Diseko spoke to Susan Evans McClure, Director of the Smithsonian Food History Programs.
