Inside the new Francis Crick Institute

Tom Feilden and Sir Paul Nurse, director of the institute, explain the space

Building work is finally complete at the biggest biomedical facility in Europe, the Francis Crick Institute.

The Crick, which will house more than a thousand scientists, claims to offer a radical new approach to medical research by encouraging scientists from different disciplines to work together in new and imaginative ways.

Our science editor Tom Feilden reports from the site and director of the institute Sir Paul Nurse discusses the "interactive space".
