It is the anniversary of the death of composer George Butterworth, seen by many as one of the great artistic losses of the Battle of the Somme.

Chief historian at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Dr Glyn Prysor discussed the work of the composer, who was awarded the Military Cross for his service in the war.
