Bonehead on Knebworth: ‘Liam thought it was just one night’
It's 20 years since a quarter of a million people filled a field in Knebworth over two nights to watch Oasis. 2.6 million people applied for tickets for an event which became one of the defining moments of Brit Pop.
However, after finishing the first gig, lead singer Liam Gallagher didn’t know the band were playing a second night. Former rhythm guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs told 5 live Daily: “After the first night he stayed up all night and got royally drunk.
Arthurs added: “Someone came in in the afternoon and said ‘you’d better sort your head out Liam you’re on tonight’ - he said ‘where?’ - they said ‘we’re doing two nights!’
