Jazz Carlin鈥檚 Mum said she 鈥渟houted her head off鈥� during Jazz鈥檚 race to win silver.

The Rio 400m freestyle silver medallist finished in eight minutes and 19.7 seconds, and was beaten again by record-breaking American Katie Ledecky.

Mary said 鈥淲e鈥檙e still trying to let it sink in. For Jazz to come out on top of the rest of the field was amazing.鈥�

She added: 鈥淟edecky is like the female version of Michael Phelps, no one can touch her really, I don鈥檛 know what makes her that way but she is definitely one of a kind.鈥�
