Hector Berlioz: Overture 'King Lear', Op 4
The King of Hanover admired Berlioz's 'King Lear' Overture for its portrayal of Cardelia's humility and tenderness, calling it 'heart-rending and beautiful'. Continuing Proms 2016's Shakespeare theme, the ±á²¹±ô±ôé is conducted by Sir Mark Elder.
