The swimwear maker Speedo is ending its sponsorship of Ryan Lochte, after the U.S. Olympic gold medallist swimmer admitted to exaggerating his story about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio. Speedo released a statement on Monday saying "We cannot condone behaviour that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for". Newsday's Nomia Iqbal spoke to Brent Rutemiller, he writes for US Swimming World magazine and knows Ryan Lochte well.
