Doctor's strike 'like groundhog day'
A former NHS trust chairman has said he is "astonished that the membership didn't take on the recommendation of the council".
Junior doctors have announced plans to hold five consecutive days of strikes from 12 to 16 September in hospitals in England.
Roy Lilley, a former NHS trust chairman who now writes about the NHS and health issues, told Martha Kearney both sides had become "entrenched".
