The Team GB horse rider Lucy Phillips has described the moment her family were left terrified, after their lorry and horse box were set upon by a gang of armed migrants, as they drove back from Calais.

The equestrian rider was coming home from a World Championship event, when they were attacked with bats and tree branches.

Lucy spoke to 麻豆社 5 live's Adrian Chiles about her families "terrifying" ordeal.

"They put a tree branch through the passenger window, which showered my mum and dad in glass. Quite soon after that, the police arrived and the migrants just ran away.鈥�
