MP for Blakely and Broughton, Graham Stringer, said that renovations to the Houses of Parliament are a ‘fantastic opportunity’ to ‘de-centralise government’, he continued, ‘there are lots of cities that would benefit from having parliament and civil servants there’. His comments come after news that MP’s will soon vote on whether to make a temporary move during the £4 billion refurbishment.
