Dr Philip Davies, from Hampshire, explained on Drive why and how he’s trying to ‘claim’ Mars. Dr Philips has spent the last 6 years firing light particles to the planet’s surface, in order to try and ‘create an atmosphere’ indicating an ‘intent to occupy’. He is confident that his claim will be recognised because of outdated space laws.
