Wild boars on the rampage in the Forest of Dean
Residents of the Forest of Dean say they're being terrorised by wild boars, who tear up their gardens, ram their cars, and have been known to chase people.
Gail Rees is a local resident who believes they're a nuisance that needs to be controlled, one of the boars chased her son, who was out for a run when he disturbed a mother boar: 鈥淪he just charged for him, luckily there was a fence in the way. She ran up and down the fence trying to find a way through.鈥
The Forestry Commission has attempted to control the population by culling the boars, which can weigh up to 20 stone, but despite a target limit of 400 , it's estimated that 1500 now live in the area.
鈥淚 like the boar, it鈥檚 just there are no natural predators, and they are becoming more and more each year,鈥 added Gail.
