A former Great British Bake Off finalist has told 5 live 鈥渋t鈥檚 a real shocker鈥� the 麻豆社 has lost the rights to the programme.

Luis Troyano, who was a finalist in 2014, said the show is a 鈥済reat institution鈥� and had 鈥渃hanged his life鈥� since he appeared on the programme two years ago.

The current series, which is the seventh, was watched by an average of 10.4 million viewers during the opening episode, and will be the last seen on the 麻豆社.
