Are cat caf茅s a good idea?
Cat caf茅s allow customers to enjoy some feline company whilst they eat their cake and sip their teas. The number of caf茅s opening up around Britain has soared, however some have been critical of them and their potential impact on the cats that live there.
Maggie Roberts, director of veterinary services at Cats Protection believes that the cats can become stressed out if they are handled by too many strangers.
鈥淭hey are a difficult species to understand and interpret. The people who are running these cafes and the people who attend them, they鈥檙e not able to see the signs of stress,鈥 she told 5 live Drive鈥檚 Tony Livesey.
鈥淵ou are forcing interaction that the cat may actually not want.鈥
