Ugandans bitter over MPs' funeral allowances
Just how much should Uganda spend on its 427 MPs? This is an issue of great concern in the country; First parliament voted to provide $US44,000 for a car for each MP; then there was a recent parliamentary trip to the United States allegedly cost half a million dollars...The latest cash outlay under discussion is an allowance of $US15 000 to ensure MPs have a decent burial. Catherine Byaruhanga reports from Kampala.
