Skepta: I鈥檒l do something positive with Mercury Prize win
Grime star Skepta has beaten the likes of David Bowie, Radiohead and The 1975 to win the Mercury Prize.
Speaking to 5 live鈥檚 Colin Paterson, Skepta said the 拢25,000 prize money will be used to 鈥渄o something positive鈥� for disadvantaged children.
"We're doing a project right now,鈥� he said, 鈥渂uilding a studio in my old estate to help the young kids do music."
Skepta's victory meant that bookmakers' favourite David Bowie missed out after receiving a posthumous nomination for his swansong album, Blackstar.
