Brain cancer blogger 'confronted her terrible diagnosis head-on'
A 25-year-old blogger who wrote about her battle with terminal brain cancer has died a day before she was due to get married.
Anna Swabey, from County Durham, was due to marry her fianc茅 Andy Bell on Saturday in the Yorkshire Dales.
Head of external affairs at Brain Tumour Research, Hugh Adams, said Anna confronted her 鈥渢errible鈥 diagnosis 鈥渉ead-on鈥.
鈥淪he made people aware of what she was going through with humanity and humour,鈥 he added.
Mr Adams said Miss Swabey had campaigned to raise research funds as brain cancer kills more people under 40 than any other form of the disease, but receives just 1% of national research funding.
