Gardener shocked to find chunk missing from his six stone cabbage
Gardener Dale Toten had a nasty surprise one morning, when he discovered someone had taken a chunk out of his giant six stone cabbage.
Dale, who is the senior gardener for Ston Easton Park Hotel in Somerset went to water the enormous vegetable when he discovered that bits had been hacked off. He went indoors to find that a temporary chef at the restaurant was the person responsible.
鈥淗e took a good chunk off of it. I was shocked to start with. I didn鈥檛 really know what had happened,鈥 he told 5 live Drive.
鈥淚t had taken a year to get it to the size it was.鈥
The cabbage was due to compete at the Malvern Autumn Show this weekend, but Dale will no longer be able to showcase it due to the damage.
