Cutting out food groups can be 'damaging'
New research from retail analysts Nielsen suggests four in ten of us are eating a specialised diet. This includes cutting out groups such as sugar, salt, grains, eggs and dairy.
However, Laura Dennison, founder of the website 鈥楴ot Plant Based,鈥 says we should exercise caution when choosing to exclude whole food groups.
鈥淚 think we need to assess where the information is coming from,鈥 she told 5 live Drive.
鈥淥ften it comes from people without a medical background and they base the information they put out on their own experiences and I think that can be quite damaging.鈥
