Ex-minister: Beware 'brutal severance' from EU
A former Conservative minister has said that "we should not set as an ambition to have the most brutal possible severance" from the EU.
Nick Herbert, a prominent Remain campaigner who worked under Theresa May at the Home Office, told Martha Kearney "the referendum vote didn't un-invent" the fact that the EU is a principal trading partner with the UK.
