Rylance won't perform at RSC over sponsor
Mark Rylance says he is unlikely to perform at the Royal Shakespeare Company unless they drop a controversial sponsorship deal with BP.
Asked if he would work at the theatre, Rylance said "no, probably not".
Artists are "being used to whitewash" the energy company, Rylance told the 麻豆社's Luke Jones.
BP says it is are "proud to have supported UK arts and culture for over 50 years". The company's Head of UK, Peter Mather, said they "balance our responsibilities to our employees, shareholders and the communities in which we operate".
