Musical tribute to the children of Aberfan
Fifty years ago this month, 116 children and 28 adults died in the Welsh village of Aberfan when a mountain of coal waste collapsed; engulfing a primary school and nearby houses.
The Welsh composer Sir Karl Jenkins, who was a 22 year old music student at the time, has written a major new choral work, Cantata Memoria, for The Children, to mark the anniversary.
麻豆社 reporter Dee Sebastian discusses the tragedy and the album with Sir Karl.
