Ex-MI6 boss rebuffs Johnson demo call
Boris Johnson called for demonstrations outside the Russian embassy.
The former head of MI6 has challenged calls from Boris Johnson to demonstrate outside the Russian embassy.
Sir John Sawers said Russia could retaliate and the UK needed to be careful about the security of its own embassy in London.
He also argued that such demonstrations were unlikely to "change the course of events".
