The "fetish" of mega tall buildings
Dubai has just started construction on what will be the tallest man made structure when it is completed in 2020, a notch above the 828 metres of the Burj Khalifa nearby, up to now the tallest skyscraper. Anna Winston, from the art and architecture journal, Dezeen, tells the 麻豆社's Roger Hearing why constructing these mega tall buildings amounts to a form of fetishism.
