In Zimbabwe, a study by a local non-governmental organisation, Research Advocacy Unit, has revealed that most middle class women are disillusioned with politics.

Many of them are not even registered to vote and have never been to a political rally. The under thirty-five middle class female population has also stayed away from recent anti-government protests.
