Personal finance expert Martin Lewis told 5 live Daily鈥檚 Adrian Chiles that financial education 鈥渋s crucially important for educating our young people on how to live in this modern, competitive economy鈥�.

Martin argues that adding better lessons in finance to the curriculum 鈥渆nables you to look after yourself鈥� and is a 鈥渞eal life-skill.鈥�

In a passionate rant, Martin called for student loans to no longer be called student loans, because 鈥渢hey are not loans; they are a graduate contribution proportionate to what you earn鈥� believing the term 鈥渘ormalises debt.鈥�
