The song scientifically proven to make babies smile
A Grammy award-winning singer has become the first singer to release a song that is scientifically proven to make your baby smile.
‘The Happy Song’ is a two-and-a-half minute long jingle, with lyrics about the sky, the sea and animals.
5 live’s Michelle Dignan tested it on her four-month-old baby – you can see the result in the picture!
It was created by C&G Baby Club and Felt Music, based on the research of Goldsmith University Psychologists, Professor’s Lauren Stewart and Caspar Addyman, who spoke to 5 live.
He said the song contains different elements that appeal to babies, such as a “female voice – babies love a female voice – and had to be in a major key”.
Along with Stewart, Addyman played four melodies to a group of babies and said there was a “clear preference” for ‘The Happy Song’.
