A personal experience of sexism in Argentina
In Argentina, thousands of protestors walked out of work in protest at the rape and murder of a sixteen year old girl called Lucia Perez. She was drugged and killed in a particularly gruesome fashion in the city of Mar del Plata twelve days ago.
The demonstrations in Argentina have sparked a wider movement across the region, against a culture of sexism and sexual violence towards women.
Martina Rodriguez is a student from Buenos Aires who lives in London and took part in parallel protests outside the Argentine embassy here. So why did she go?
