Italy's heritage 'must be earthquake proofed'
Italy's historic buildings must be reinforced to make them resistant to earthquakes, says the UN's heritage authority.
Speaking after the latest earthquake, Unesco's Francesco Bandarin told Radio 4's The World at One it would take decades to make the thousands of Italian buildings stable against seismic activity but it could be done.
