Former Mercedes F1 boss Ross Brawn discusses the difficulty of dealing with the sport's ringleader Bernie Ecclestone.

Brawn and Ecclestone clashed both when the former was boss of his own eponymous team, and at Mercedes.

"You have to be politically astute to be successful and survive in Formula 1. I was not clever enough to think through the various scenarios," Brawn said.

"Anyone who thinks they’re Bernie's best friend had best watch out because Bernie does not have best friends, his focus is the business."
