The life of a World Champion whistler
Whistling is a skill that divides opinion 鈥 some see it as an art form and some think it鈥檚 an annoying tic. Someone who does have a passion for whistling is World Champion Sheila Harrod. She won her title in Berlin in 1996, and wants whistling to be taken seriously as a musical form.
鈥淚鈥檝e been whistling professionally since I was 13,鈥 Sheila told 5 live Drive.
She says her inspiration came from Ronnie Ronald in the 40s and 50s, describing him as 鈥渢he best鈥 and 鈥渁n idol.鈥
