Who sent this boat across the Atlantic ocean?

The unmanned vessel washed up on a beach on the west coast of Ireland after drifting from Newfoundland, Canada. Inside was a message scribbled on the wall. ' I, Rick Small, donate this structure to a homeless youth'. Western correspondent with Irish state broadcaster RTE, Pat McGrath, takes up the story.
