Martin Keown says he wishes Arsene Wenger would have asked him about Marcus Rashford - having seen him playing against Reading U21s for Manchester United.

Ex-Arsenal defender Keown was at the game watching his son play, but the Manchester United star in particular caught his eye.

"I wish Wenger had phoned me. I watched Marcus play against Reading and we talked about his movement, he's clever in the box and he's very intelligent," he told Darren Fletcher and Jermaine Jenas on the Friday Football Social.

"I could have told Wenger all that before he went and did well at Old Trafford. It was no surprise to me at all, he is a great talent."
