Your finances and the autumn statement
The Chancellor Philip Hammond has delivered his Autumn Statement, but how will it affect personal finances?
Merryn Somerset Webb, editor of MoneyWeek, highlighted the changes to money purchase annual allowance, "one of those strange little things in the system where you can start drawing down your pension whilst still contributing into it" and "effectively get a double whammy of tax relief",
The Chancellor wants to stop that happening and so has brought it down from 拢10,000 to 拢4,000 but Merryn was surprised "he did not abolish it altogether".
