Leaving baby to die alone 'inhuman'
A report in to a hospital where staff left a premature baby to die alone in a sluice room, has been called "shocking" by the local MP.
Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust's review of its Royal Oldham and North Manchester General hospitals identified several "unacceptable situations".
Graham Stringer, the Labour MP for the area, told presenter Martha Kearney that "it is not a failure of medical care but it is inhuman" to leave a baby to die in that situation.
