Homeless man: I agree with anti-homeless spikes
Alex, a man from Oxford who has been homeless on and off for 20 years, told 5 live he agrees with 鈥榙efensive architecture鈥 designed to deter rough sleepers.
Speaking to 5 live鈥檚 Adrian Goldberg, he said: 鈥渙utside where I live, there鈥檚 a solicitor鈥檚 and they have homeless people sleeping there and it absolutely stinks.鈥
An anti-homeless slope was recently installed on the site of a former Bank of England building in Liverpool, the latest in a trend of 鈥榙efensive architecture鈥 being used across the country.
The charity Crisis says the measures are 鈥渃ounter-productive鈥 and 鈥渄o nothing to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness鈥.
